As a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Meadows has been the founder of businesses in publishing, software, printing
and education, the largest of which now employs over 500 individuals. Mr. Meadows is passionate about assisting
developing entrepreneurs and is now the Executive Director of the United States Center for Entrepreneurship.
The United States Center for Entrepreneurship offers “self-paced” step-by-step online classes that make
starting a business easier for anyone in the world. USCFE is great for inventors, dreamers, retirees, individuals
who have lost their jobs, employees who wish to get out on their own and anyone seeking business ownership.
During college, the entrepreneurial bug was ignited in Mr. Meadows through his involvement as a student
member of the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs (ACE). ACE was made up of students who either owned
a business or wanted to own a business.
After graduation, the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs hired Mr. Meadows as their full-time U.S.
Campus Development Director. Meadows says, “I will never forget the international convention in 1993 that I
hosted in New York City with Michael Dell as our keynote speaker and 500 other entrepreneurs from around the
world. Some of my best entrepreneur friends still exist nearly 15 years later from that event!” Truly, ACE had an
astounding impact on thousands of young entrepreneurs over the years.
Mr. Meadows then left ACE to create the Worldbits! Country-A-Day calendar that became Rand McNally’s
# 3 best selling product in 1995. The printed calendar explored countries of the world on a daily basis. Computer
screen savers were popular at that time, so he transitioned the calendar to a screen saver and created
ScreenShop Software in March of 1996.
ScreenShop Software produced many creative computer screen savers and multimedia CD’s for corporate
marketing. Clients included American Express, Citibank, Compaq, Lucent, Lycos, Sony, NBC and many others.
Projects for sports teams such as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, New York Knicks, San Diego Chargers, the Super
Bowl and Final Four were very successful and exciting to produce. Additionally, ScreenShop produced the first
“personalized” screen saver that included 250,000 Spider Man screen savers distributed individually throughout
2,000 Wal-Mart stores. This was a huge hit and generated great press!
In March of 1998, Mr. Meadows founded Mimeo.com—which was the first copy center accessible via the
Internet! Similar to Kinko’s but with a 140,000 sq. foot “centralized” print factory, Mimeo enables customers to
print, bind and deliver documents from their desktop. Mimeo’s accelerated growth has been awarded via rankings
on Inc. Magazine’s 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the U.S. list numerous times and has truly
revolutionized the print market. Mimeo can be found at www.mimeo.com.
In 2000, Meadows took a few years off to ski in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and to travel throughout the United
States. His travels introduced him to lots of amazing people around the country and early in 2005; he accepted a
position at St. Petersburg College (Florida) raising money for their student scholarships, buildings and faculty
chairs. Mr. Meadows enjoyed the opportunity and benefited greatly under the leadership of Dr. Carl Kuttler, a very
entrepreneurial President who develops innovative partnerships.
And now, as Executive Director of the United States Center for Entrepreneurship, Meadows says, “I am
truly thrilled to pursue my passion for starting companies by assisting other entrepreneurs and business owners in
their journey for success!”
